As the School Holidays approach…….

July 8, 2009

Well I can’t believe that the school holidays are almost with us, can you?  Is it something that you are dreading?   Not sure how I am going to entertain my 3 kids for just over 7 weeks.  Hope we have better weather than last year.  Can’t think of anything worse than being stuck  in the house on rainy days, can you?   Lets hope we have a  few sunny weeks.

I am pretty much sure that I will be undertaking my role as peacemaker and trying to keep the kids happy.  It can be a very demanding, stressful time, don’t you agree?  but on the plus side I am looking forward to the occasional sleep- in and spending some quality time with the kids.

Hope you enjoy the summer break.  Stay calm and have fun.

Hello Mums!

July 3, 2009

This is my first blog post.  Not quite sure on how to use wordpress at the moment, so please bear with me.

You might be asking, what is “Mums Are Important Too “really about?  Well let me tell you that is a resource for all mums, whether you are a single mum, working mum, stay at home mum, whatever kind of mum you are this is a resource for you.  As Mums, you will agree, that we all go through the challenges of motherhood and are pushed to our limits at times.  Many mums feel the daily tensions and pressures of juggling many roles of  being a cook, cleaner, mum, wife, employee, the list goes on.  We tend to now fit more into our life’s than what our parents and grandparents did.  It’s no wonder we often feel stressed, unable to cope, down and fed up, is it?

One of my greatest challenges was when I gave up work after having my third son to become a stay at home mum.  I never realised how tough it can be to stay at home all day.  However, It did give me the opportunity to study and retrain and gain a new career.

I created “Mums Are Important Too” to help mums with the emotional challenges of Motherhood.  My aim is to teach mums on how to manage their stress levels, feel happier, gain more confidence, feel less guilty and to teach techniques that may help with the challenges of every day motherhood.

The ”Mums Are Important Too” website is now live but does still requires some developing.   If you would like to be kept up to date with the latest developments and receive some free techniques and tips along the way, please sign up to receive the quarterly newsletter.  Enter your details on the website  http://www.mums-are-important-too.com

Bye for now.
